What You Will Bring:
- A keen eye for inspection details and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Hands-on experience testing and calibrating uncast, cast, and repaired instruments through depth, temperature, light, clock compensation, satellite, and GPS tests.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or two to four years of relevant experience/training.
- Proficiency in basic math, Microsoft Office, precision hand tools, basic power tools, stereo microscopes, DMM, Spectrum Analyzer, and good communication skills.
What You Will Do:
From assembling instruments to testing finished products, you’ll be instrumental in the entire manufacturing process. With your meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality, you’ll ensure our satellite tags meet the highest standards, ready to embark on their journey to the far corners of the globe*.
The details:
- Test and calibrate uncast, cast, and repaired tags through depth, temperature, light, clock compensation, satellite, and GPS tests.
- Inspects on all tags prior to shipping including software, setup, and product appearance inspections.
- Ensure all orders are fulfilled with the correct items and accessories.
- Provide feedback to the engineering group to improve manufacturability.
- Modify existing manufacturing fixtures, molds, and jigs.
- Perform final assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Participate in the company safety plan.

*Physical Demands of this Position
As this is a hands-on position, there are physical demands surrounding it. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. You will need to:
- Work in a manufacturing-laboratory environment with chemical exposure that is typical for a manufacturing casting room environment.
- Work in an environment where the noise level is moderate; however, occasional work is required near moving mechanical parts where the noise level is louder with dust, vibration, chemical exposure etc.
- Sit or stand for long periods of time to manually manipulate parts and tools with repetitive hand and wrist motions.
- Occasionally work under a microscope for long periods of time.
- Walk up and down stairs for rooftop testing.
- Occasionally lift to 30 pounds.
- Occasionally perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
