10 Dec Acceleration-triggered Animal-borne Videos Show a Dominance of Fish in the Diet of Female Northern Elephant Seals

Animal-borne video cameras are getting fancy! Yoshino et al (2020) deployed date-/time-, depth-, and acceleration-triggered animal-borne video cameras on elephant seals and confirmed that seals do, in fact, eat fish…with a little bit of squid on the side. We’re happy that our Wildlife Computers SPOT tags help keep track of these seals and cameras while they’re out and about!
