Behind Every Wildlife Research Project Is a Well-Orchestrated Shipment
When people think about wildlife research, they often picture satellite tags, scientists in the field, and incredible insights about whales, sharks, sea turtles, and other marine species. What they don’t always see is the work that happens behind the scenes to make that research possible.
At Wildlife Computers, every tag we manufacture represents a future research project. Before that technology can help answer critical conservation questions, it has to reach researchers around the world accurately, efficiently, and with the right documentation in place. That’s where our Order Processing Specialist plays a vital role.
Supporting Science From the First Quote to Final Delivery
The Order Processing Specialist is at the center of the customer journey. From creating quotes and processing orders to coordinating domestic and international shipments, this role helps ensure our products move smoothly from our Redmond headquarters to research teams across the globe.
Success in this position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for helping others. Every order includes important information such as billing details, shipping requirements, warranties, customs documentation, and customer communications. Managing those moving pieces accurately helps researchers stay focused on their work instead of worrying about logistics.
A Collaborative Role With Real Impact
One of the most rewarding parts of this position is the variety of people and teams you’ll work with. The Order Processing Specialist collaborates regularly with Sales, Finance, Production, Support, customers, funding agencies, and shipping partners to keep projects on track.
Whether resolving a shipping challenge, processing warranty documentation, coordinating a repair return, or answering a customer’s question about order status, this role helps maintain the level of service and reliability that Wildlife Computers is known for.
Why This Work Matters
The Order Processing Specialist may not be deploying tags in the field, but their work directly supports the researchers who do. Every accurately processed order, every completed customs form, and every successful shipment helps advance wildlife science and conservation efforts around the world.
Join a Mission-Driven Team
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, staying organized, and helping customers succeed. Experience in order processing, shipping, customer service, operations, or accounting support is valuable, but just as important is a commitment to accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement.
At Wildlife Computers, you’ll join a collaborative team where your work has a direct connection to meaningful scientific research and conservation outcomes. If you take pride in keeping complex processes running smoothly and want your work to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
