What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in final mechanical assembly of complex electronic instruments, encapsulation in epoxy, and creating silicone casting molds.
  • Proficiency in calculations involving ratios, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Problem-solving skills for dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 12-18 months of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in basic math (algebra and geometry), Microsoft Office, and good communication skills.

What You Will Do:

As a Manufacturing Technician at Wildlife Computers, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing innovative technology to life, meticulously assembling cutting-edge instruments, expertly executing complex casting processes, continuously improving efficiency, and going the extra mile to meet critical deadlines for delivering game-changing products*.

  • The details:
    • Finalizing mechanical assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, and various finishing processes.
    • Ensuring accurate order fulfillment with the correct items and accessories.
    • Scheduling and executing casting to meet manufacturing schedules.
    • Following “best practice” casting processes for each mold type.
    • Identifying areas for improvement and suggesting modifications for increased efficiency.
    • Managing casting area supplies and assisting in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
    • Participating in the company safety plan.
    • Performing work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet deadlines.

As this is a hands-on position, there are physical demands surrounding it. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. You will need to:

  • Work in a manufacturing-laboratory environment with chemical exposure that is typical for a manufacturing casting room environment.
  • Work in an environment where the noise level is moderate; however, occasional work is required near moving mechanical parts where the noise level is louder with dust, vibration, chemical exposure etc.
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time to manually manipulate parts and tools with repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Occasionally lift to 40 pounds
