23 Jun A Framework to Estimate the Likelihood of Species Interactions and Behavioural Responses Using Animal‐borne Acoustic Telemetry Transceivers and Accelerometers
Nigel Hussey’s research team published a paper providing a framework to estimate when there is a high likelihood that aquatic animal subsurface interactions occur. They created a recoverable biologging package combining a mobile transceiver, an accelerometer, and a temperature-depth tag. They deployed the package on Greenland sharks and collected data of when animals came in contact with one another. Read More.
