Read Aaron Purdy’s thesis on the metabolic states of Steller sea lions. The study used Wildlife Computers TDR tags to differentiate between dive time and total O2 uptake. The study gave an understanding of how marine mammals use their environment. The study can also help develop optimal foraging models.
