Study Follows Rehabbed Dolphin

Rehabbed DolphinThis study follows the rescue of a common bottlenose dolphin who remained in freshwater for at least 32 days. After rehab, the dolphin was outfitted with a Wildlife Computers SPOT tag to track the dolphin’s location. Unfortunately, twelve weeks after release, the dolphin was found dead after getting caught in a shrimp net. Being able to follow and recover the remains of the dolphin allowed further evaluation of the efficacy of the rehabilitation efforts.
