A Study of Sea Turtle Tagging in the Mariana Islands Training and Testing Study Area

Sea Turtle Tagging MITTWildlife Computers SPOT and SPLASH tags gathered data on temperature, depth, maximum diving depth, and dive duration to help inform wildlife conservation and management. Even though habitats and movements of green and hawksbill turtles remain unclear, the data found in this research suggests turtles spend a significant amount of time in areas that are close to Navy detonation sites. More research and data are needed to determine long-term impacts.
