Wildlife Computers SPOT tags were used recently for direct measurement of swimming and diving kinematics of the giant Atlantic bluefin tuna. The study showed that high-resolution biologging tags coupled with video revealed that these tunas showed a “considerable repertoire of swimming patterns” that seem to improve locomotor performance.
