Ten whale sharks were tagged with Wildlife Computers MiniPAT tags in Palawan. Data from the tags showed that Honda Bay is a hotspot for whale sharks. The data from the study provided evidence that supports Honda Bay as an important habitat, and the strait between Tawi-tawi and Lahad Datu as an important migratory corridor for the species.
